One year, my siblings and I decided we were going to make my father a jagged wood structure held together by rusty nails and a large volume of glue. Or what some might call low-income bird housing. I started by myself, but I couldn't get it done in time. My brother and sister pitched in, and we were able to finish. It turned out terrible, but my Dad kept it in his office for years. He said it was too nice to put outside for the birds to ruin. Let's be honest, he was looking out for the birds.
