After I heard "Jack and the Beanstalk" for the first time, I buried everything. I assumed that anything could be a magic bean. I started with seeds. Nothing. Rocks. Nothing. Then I moved onto the serious things. Mom's earrings? Nothing. Dad's keys? Nothing. I buried everything I could find. I never had the patience to sleep on it, like Jack did. Instead I spent that afternoon like a state worker, telling my father where to dig.
Within each hot stamped velour pouch is a collection of agriculture and heirloom beans that have been marked with thoughtful words using a patent pending process. The beans can be kept as a sentimental token or planted, however the true magic is seen when the planted beans sprout. The words are still on the pods as they emerge from the soil.
