Even the most successful professionals can experience temporary burnout.

Paperwork is eating up more and more time. Budgets are stretched to the limit. And the persistent challenge is to do more with less.

Your people work hard. They come early, work late and rarely miss a beat. But, even the best people… even your people… can experience “temporary burnout.”

Temporary burnout is a by-product of successful behavior. It happens when people focus their energy for extended periods of time. Maybe it’s establishing a comprehensive new program, responding to new regulatory requirements, or simply rising up to meet the new challenges that pop up every day. The result is always the same: stress

Stress is a hidden destroyer of workplace productivity. It remains invisible. Left unchecked, it can lead to the development of a far more serious condition known as: Adultitis™, which can lead to setbacks in effectiveness, teamwork, and attrition.

Is there a cure? Yes, it’s called “Escape Adulthood” with Jason Kotecki. Jason is an expert at helping individuals and organizations become more productive by turning stress into laughter and having more fun each and every day.

Invite Jason to speak at your next meeting – Jason is a professional cartoonist and author of several books, including: Escape Adulthood: 8 Secrets from Childhood for the Stressed-Out Grown-Up and There’s An Adult In My Soup. He will help you transform your next event into an exciting and memorable one.

Book “Escape Adulthood” for your next meeting – Have fun. Lighten up. Let your audience know you mean it when you tell them your next meeting is going to be something special.

Stress Is Expensive

Stress is wreaking havoc on health, bottom lines, and overall happiness all over America. Three out of every four doctor visits are stress related. Ouch. In the U.S. alone, employers spend $7,500 annually per employee on stress-related compensation claims, reduced productivity, absenteeism, employee turnover, and soaring health insurance costs. Double ouch. Employee turnover, currently at 25%, is a major source of lost revenue for today’s businesses. Recently, nearly one-in-four workers said they are currently dissatisfied with their jobs and six-in-ten plan to leave for other pursuits in the next two years (CareerBuilder.com). It’s time to stop the revolving door and provide your employees and members with the tools necessary to create the balance they crave so that they can live and work with less stress and more fun.

What Jason Can Do For You

With today’s pace faster than ever, many things are being left by the wayside: healthy communication and teamwork, curiosity and innovation, an enthusiastic attitude, an ability to think big, and a genuine passion for one’s work. It’s time to tackle the costs of stress once and for all by addressing the root of the problem: AdultitisTM, that dreaded condition that causes super-high stress levels and leaves its victims jaded, bored, and unproductive. Jason Kotecki assures audiences that stress doesn’t have to be a constant challenge and your group will love to hear how they can overcome Adultitis.

A productive, healthy, loyal, Adultitis-free staff is a huge advantage. It is said that the average four-year-old laughs around 400 times a day, compared to the average adult who only laughs 15 times a day. Adultitis tricks us into missing out on the best parts of life and causes us to take ourselves WAY too seriously. Jason is here to change that! He makes the point that although we should always take our work seriously, we never have to take ourselves too seriously.

Jason can ignite a spark in your organization that will carry on long after the presentation is over. He has the uncanny ability to give your people permission to have fun, which is a tremendous catalyst for team building and better relationships. Think about it: when people are having fun at work, they get along much better. Management and conflict resolution issues are at a minimum, meaning more energy can be focused on opportunities for growth. And ultimately, it’s the people you serve that benefit from the enthusiasm, cohesiveness, and spirit of fun emanating from your organization.

About Jason

Jason Kotecki, known as “The Champion of Childhood,” is an engaging speaker, entertaining author, and creator of the internationally-known comic strip, Kim & Jason. He travels the world helping individuals and organizations find balance by using strategies from childhood to create Adultitis-free lives, with less stress and more fun. He delivers a message that is often described as a cross between Dr. Phil and Mr. Rogers.

His book, “Escape Adulthood: 8 Secrets From Childhood for the Stressed-Out Grown-Up” outlines simple ways for adults of all ages to reconnect with the qualities that come naturally to children in order to reduce stress and live more fun, productive and fulfilling lives. Jason is passionate about sharing his message that there is more to life than the hectic busyness, cynical melancholy and overwhelming stress that is typical of modern life.

Before it was an idea, Kim & Jason started out as a simple love story. Jason first drew his lovable characters for his girlfriend Kim sometime before the turn of the century. The couple shared a kindred childlike spirit, and Jason used the drawings, which represented the couple as children, on many homemade (aka cheap) gifts designed to win her heart. Luckily for him, this downright sappy ploy helped him to not only win her heart, but also her hand in marriage. The characters took on lives of their own and in 2000, the real Kim and Jason decided to build a company to share this inspiring message of living life to the fullest.

As cofounders of the Cure Adultitis Institute and co-authors of the book, “The Escape Plan: A 40-Day Guide to Annihilate the Adultitis in Your Life” and “There’s An Adult In My Soup,” Kim and Jason share practical steps and Adultitis-fighting techniques that have been tested all over the world. In addition to their speaking events, they also fulfill their mission through their blog, tv show, cartoons and store.

Together, they will help you transform your next meeting into an exciting and memorable event.
