Lincoln Log Forest

My favorite segments of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood were when he would do some kind of epic behind-the-scenes factory tour. I remember the crayon factory, the marble factory, and the interview with Lou Ferrigno, aka The Incredible Hulk. Epic, I tell you.

I’ve always been fascinated with where things come from, and perhaps I have Mr. Rogers to thank for that.

This painting depicts where Lincoln Logs come from, in case you were wondering. It’s a fact, look it up.

Awesome! I gave my almost 3-year old niece Lincoln Logs for Christmas this year. It was always one of my favorite toys growing up!

Our son Ben got a set this year, too. He’s a little young for them but we’d figured he’d grow into them. Meanwhile, we’re having fun playing with them :)

My brother and I would fight over who got to build with Lincoln Logs because there were never enough for both of us at the same time – did not share well.

      I can see that.

I would sit and hope every time I watched that Mr. Rogers would replay the crayon factory tour! I loved Picture, Picture. Now I get my fill with How It’s Made re-runs :)

Holy cow, thank you for reminding me about Picture Picture. Today is a happy day!
