My favorite childhood delicacy has to be Philippine food. The have the best chicken and fish dishes, as well as amazingly sweet and juicy fruits. You haven't tasted mangoes until you've had a Philippine mango. I can say the same thing for buko (young coconut), when the shell is still green and the meat is soft and juicy... Wow!!

I may make an exception for balut, though...it tastes OK, but not the most scrumptious thing I've ever tasted. I dare you to try it though! :-)

Oh, and did I sense Jason struggling with adultitis, too chicken to open and use his weiner whistle? Bock bock bock bock bock! :-)

OK, the Weinermobile reminded me of 2 things...Ride the Ducks and an old joke.

I've mentioned Ride the Ducks before in comments, but if I'm around next time you guys come to Seattle, I'm taking you on it. They also have whistles, but I think they're cooler because they're shaped like a duck's bill and they make a quacking noise.

Second, I was reminded of a joke we used to tell when I was little. 3 guys are walking along when they find a lamp and decide to rub it. Out pops a genie who offers to grant each of them one wish. The first guy wishes he lived in Hawaii, and POOF! He finds himself on a sandy beach in a tropical paradise. The second guy wishes for a Ferarri, and POOF! A Ferarri appears, and he drives off happy. The third guy can't decide what he wants, so the genie gives him some time to think about it. A few days later, the third guy is watching TV, and his favorite commercial comes on. As is his custom, he sings along... "I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Weiner!"

We regularly have the OM weinermobile parked next door to us here in Houston. Apparently they have a deal with the Marriott. It must stay 8-10 times a year for like 2 weeks at a time.

Yeah...our neighborhood is awesome.
