One time our group at church threw a "Jolly Polyholiday Party" at my brother's house, which we scheduled for a month that didn't have much in the way of holidays (April, I think). We could celebrate whatever holiday we wanted, and we dressed up as any old holiday. I think my favorite was when one of our friends (who might be in her 60s or 70s) showed up dressed for Safari Day...complete with pith helmet. His house was decorated with stuff from every holiday we could think of. We decorated Easter eggs. My brother ordered all kinds of crafts for a whole bunch of different holidays from Oriental Trading. My brother has one of those 3D layer puzzles of King Tut, and he put a Santa hat on it (http://www.stevensauke.com/pics/SantaTut.jpg). It was one of the more memorable parties I've been to.

BTW, I don't have an Aunt Martha, although Doug did get the first 3 letters of my dad's sister's name right. :-) I definitely made an insect ant. Our sand sculptures were something of a contest, and I can get competitive, so my ant was crawling toward their mermaid because it was going to eat her up and win the contest. I hope that clarifies any questions Doug had in this week's show. :-) (I think the mermaid won. I don't remember for sure.)

Greetings! January 18th was "Winnie the Pooh" Day!
I have always loved Winnie the Pooh and his friends!
When we went to Disneyworld a few years ago, my favorite find was a replica of the original Pooh Bear!
This year my family bought me various Winnie the Pooh gifts and we celebrated with a Winnie the Pooh cake and later watched a couple of Pooh DVDS! Thanks, Cindi

Wearing my Chief Sales Servant hat here. Fun Fact: on the box for the Roman Candles it actually says, "Party like it's MCMXCIX" - sadly M and C are not included.

Our family celebrates a discount Christmas in February. We decorate a clearanced tree with all the markdown ormnaments we purchased. Wrap gifts bought at a discount with the wrapping paper bought half price. It is just a fun way to extend the holiday and have fun shopping for the discounts.

We celebrated Spring Equinox day with a half-and-half day. The girls were encouraged to wear half pajamas and half day clothes to school. We made and equinox dinner with 1/2 breakfast and 1/2 dinner.

It was fun!
