Greetings, I am answering this question for my husband! He does literally work in a 3×3 work space. We laugh about his cubical all of the time. No windows, no view, etc. He thought the coolest place to work would be a baseball field! Yes, he wanted to be a baseball player.

The cookie factory. We had a factory close by to our home and you could smell the baking all the time. I always thought it would be great to watch the cookies be made and help put the sandwich creams together. Not to mention being an official product tester.

I wanted to be a mailman. Somehow, I figured that delivering U.S. mail would elicit the same exhilirating feeling as the experience of receiving a pen pal letter! (Do kids today know what a ‘pen pal’ is??) :)

I thought the coolest job would be as a doctor. I think I just liked using this really neat stethoscope I had as a child and one of those things that test reflexes. I’m sure by the time I hit high school, being a doctor was not even the remotest of interests anymore.

The first thing that I want to say is that I had (and still have) a dislike of clowns. It has morphed from a fear to a sincere disdain. They creep me out. Therefore, I would NOT want to work at the circus or be a carny. I have wanted to be Superman forever and still do. I am working on various nagging aspects such as heat and x-ray vision and stopping bullets, etc. Other carreer choices I have sought over the years include fireman, policeman, astronaut, pilot, and my dad. I think the most consistent career choice would be astronaut. I still want to be one but my better half has severe reservations so that one will remain a dream.

The circus. Hands down, the circus would have been the coolest place to work. I wanted to be a part of the trapeze act and travel to different cities. I was so mesmerized by the beautiful women in their grand costumes, and the idea of “flying through the air” was something I would mimic on the neighborhood’s playground swing bar. I still go to the circus every year.

I wanted to work on my Grandpa’s farm. It was fun to see the horses and cows – and the hayloft “fort fights” were great! Being able to be outside and run around all day was a great perk too.

When I was little, I used to want to be a doctor when I grew up, because I care about people and I wanted to help sick people get better. However, at some point I found out that doctors need to know math…and I realized I didn’t want to be a doctor that bad.

One of my biggest dreams as a child was to be out of school and have time to sit at home and read all day. Every day. I don’t know if that day will ever come, but it was a nice idea. :)

I totally wanted to be a carny. The idea of getting to ride all the canival rides for free all the time was pretty cool. And fair food at every meal…
As a teen I got to experience that in a small sense when I volunteered at our state fair. It was pretty fun but it turns out that carnies are a little scarier and smellier than I had originally imagined – kinda pirate-ish.

That was my idea of the coolest job, either that or McDonald’s.

I thought it would be the coolest to work at Sea World! To be able to swim with Shamu and the dolphins and to feed the Walrus’ and Seels by hand, that would be so cool. I used to envy those trainers, still do as a matter of fact!
