This reminds me of the story of how my grandmother (Dad’s mom) met and married my grandfather. He worked for the railroad and wasn’t always around much - and she was interested in another fellow that was around a little more. She actually was more interested in the “other fellow” - but then he was killed in the 1918 Flu Pandemic and she “settled” for my grandfather. The joke in the family is that my father and aunt (and everyone else) are here “because of the great flu pandemic of 1918!”

Dear Kim and Jason,
I think you are both delightful and I thank you for coming to Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Alexandria, VA! Singing my little song for you was SO HARD! You have pointed out to me how infected I am with Adultitis! I will buy your book and share it for our book of the month club. If I weren’t such a wuss, I would have been able to get a signed copy from you directly. I’m looking forward to the “cure”!! Good luck in your efforts to lighten up the over-stressed! Sincerely, Carol Pickering

Minette,
What a GREAT story!!
Who knew the flu pandemic would bring about such positive results. Just goes to show ya, everything happens for a reason.
Carol,
It was a pleasure meeting you- and hearing your fabulous song!
