Every Thursday, we pick out one of the cool things from the Kim & Jason Lemonade Stand and give it away. Yep, for free.

This week’s prize is Living Out Loud. Remember those childhood days spent running in your bare feet, playing make-believe, and most of all, living life with wonderment? That youthful enthusiasm and playfulness are key to discovering who you are and what you love to do. Living Out Loud is the perfect prescription for a creative jump start to your life. Included are games, projects, activities, crafts, postcards, and playful ideas that will send you off on an exciting adventure, where you’ll discover inspiration around and within you. Written and illustrated by Keri Smith.

Here’s how to enter:

  1. Just leave a comment on this post, answering this week’s question: “What is something creative that you like to do?”
  2. Deadline for entries is 11:59 pm CST on the day of the post. We’ll pick a winner from the list of comments on the following Friday.
  3. We’ll contact the winner by e-mail to find out where to send the prize.

Good luck! And don’t miss any of the other cool stuff for the young at heart at The Kim & Jason Lemonade Stand!

**UPDATE: This week’s winner was The Angel Forever:

I love to color with my son. There is nothing like a new box of crayons and paper or a coloring book to remind me of my childhood. In addition to this I also knit.

Even though this week’s contest is over, you can still buy your very own Living Out Loud book at the Kim & Jason Lemonade Stand. And stay tuned next week for the next chance to win!

I love to quilt as my creative outlet.

My creative outlet is our improvisation comedy troupe. It’s not all about performing, but the actual get-togethers of our group when we are planning a show. We have become a very close bunch. It is monumentally crucial to have a circle of people you trust so freely that you can be yourself and know they’ll come back to play. Serving excellent munchies doesn’t hurt, either. Laughing hard is like finally reaching that itch in the middle of your back. Ahhh, it feels so good. Have a sassy day!

Make my own jewelry. That’d be so cool.

I am not a great cook - but I love to bake. So - I have started using baking as a creative outlet.

I also write poetry, tinker on the piano, or tie-dye t-shirts. I think I get bored easily, so I’m always trying something different when I’m in a creative mood. :-)

I like to write poems, and I’ve also started coloring mandalas as both a creativity outlet and a soothing thing to do before I go to bed. It’s interesting to see how my color choices change at different points!

Great book! My husband made a craft room in our basement just for me. I go there when I need quiet time and to be hopefully, creative! My hobby is card making extended into collages, journals, etc. I love papers with all of the beautiful patterns and textures. Different types of ribbon in various color interest me, also. My craft room is one big “collage!” Thanks,Cindi

My favorite creative exercise is cloud watching. It’s very relaxing, yet it stimulates you’re mind too. It’s fun for adults and kids.

I also like to write rhyming poems - inspired of course by my favorite Dr. Suess! I also use short poems in my own computer-generated greeting cards.

For hilarious children’s poems check out Kenn Nesbitt’s site http://www.poetry4kids.com

Have a great day!

At first I thought you asked “what is something creative you WOULD like to do…” NOT “what you DO”…
Okay. Creatively right now. I write. I pick seaglass and attempt to adhere it to things…oh boy. I really need this book! WOULD LIKE TO list is longer than DOING list!!

When my daughter was born a year ago I quit work to stay home with her. Now that she’s active and playful, my creativity has been directed toward helping her learn and play. I’m always trying to think of new activities that she’ll enjoy. A couple of weekends ago we planted a vegetable garden and she loved playing in the dirt and grass. More recently we’ve rearranged her bedroom so she has easy access to her toys and books. It’s fun to watch her discover new things and rediscover old ones.

I love to scrapbook! There’s something really special about cutting up pictures, sticking stickers, and writing down memories! I don’t want to forget any good times!

I enjoy singing and playing the piano. To my amusement my 1 year old will also sing and “play” the piano, too. He’s got the motions down pat!

I create doodles–no, I don’t mean like the movie 3 Men and a Baby (LOL)–with pen/pencil/paper or computer mouse/paint program. It’s sometimes amazing what the “artwork” turns out to be! :)

I do a myriad of things based on whats going on in my life. I design and paint baby and children’s tshirts. I just took a cake decorating class. I started a toddler art group for me and my son, I have to be creative to come up with projects for six 1-2 year olds. I think creativity is very important and incourage my toddler to draw, paint, and sculpt (play doh ;) ) every day.

Tried to write stories once upon a time– now I mostly write letters! I wish I were more creative. I need help in that department!

I love to plan out my garden. I really get into coordinating the colors and textures and contrasting forms. Call me odd, but shopping for plants and seeds are just as exciting for me as shopping for Prada bags are for some people!
