Every Thursday, we pick out one of the cool things from the Kim & Jason Lemonade Stand and give it away. Yep, for free.

This week’s prize is a Matted Peace Print, featuring the quote, “True peace comes from above. It’s like the sound of falling snow.” This print helps us remember the deafening silence of lying in the pillowy snow on quiet winter days. Full color 5×7 print in an acid free 8×10 white mat.

Here’s how to enter:

  1. Just leave a comment on this post, answering this week’s question: “Share a favorite childhood memory about snow.
  2. Deadline for entries is 11:59 pm CST on the day of the post. We’ll pick a winner from the list of comments on the following Friday.
  3. We’ll contact the winner by e-mail to find out where to send the free prize.

Good luck! And don’t miss any of the other cool stuff for the young at heart at The Kim & Jason Lemonade Stand!

**UPDATE: This week’s winner was Cindi Hoppes:

I have many memories of snow! Our neighborhood would build fantastic forts and then have a snowball fight! My most vivid and memorable snow experience is my family making snow ice cream. Yes, we were careful not to use any yellow snow. My sister and I would take Mom’s huge roaster outside and fill it with snow! Then mom added vanilla, egg, and whatever that made delicious tasting snow ice cream. Every once in a while, I get vanilla ice cream that takes me back to my memory of our snow ice cream days.

Even though this week’s contest is over, you can still buy your very own Matted Peace Print at the Kim & Jason Lemonade Stand. And stay tuned next week for the next chance to win!

I loved going sledding at the hill behind my house. Then making snow angels once we reached the bottom of the hill. Great times!

I grew up in Chicago, where the lake effect can bring snow by the tons… literally! I remember the blizzard of ‘66-67… the city was at a stand-still… of course, school was cancelled for days. There was no traffic down any of the streets. Since we didn’t have any hills nearby, we used the snow covered cars to slide down. Most of our parents weren’t too thrilled, but we thought is was awesome!

I love remembering eating Snow Cream and sledding with my sisters when I was very little. When I was in middle school, we would always take a trip to a local farm to sled. It was awesome! I love snow and hate that my boys haven’t gotten to experience much of it!

Once my mom got me all bundled up to take me on a sled ride [really just pulling me behind her with a rope]. While she was pulling me behind her, my sled flipped over and there I was at 2 years old left behind while my mom continued to pull the sled for a little ways until she realized that I was no longer in the sled. Good thing I wasn’t wearing a white coat, she would have never found me!

My mom just corrected me, I was 6 months old, not 2…
