My daughter shakes everything she picks up; I think she expects everything to make noise. I made her some mini maracas with old prescription bottles and different rices and grains inside each one. It’s simple but I think she’ll love it. And it didn’t require me to go to the store.
I love the milkshake idea! I have a friend who lets her daughter have cake for breakfast on her birthday.

Thi is a wonderful fun tradition. Your mother was right. I make simple construction paper Valentines for my kids and leave them by their pilows to wake up to. I also leave a special one for my husband by the coffee maker. His first stop.
On St. Paddy’s Day the leprechauns turn their cereal milk green, or their oatmeal, or their bath water. It is fun to surprise them.
Happy Valentine’s Day. Hope you mde yourself a shake.
