This sparkly USB Glitter Lamp is guaranteed to make a hard day at the office just a little bit more bearable. Works on PCs and Macs.

Here’s how to enter:

  1. Just leave a comment on this post, answering this week’s question: “Do you think we’ll someday be able to vacation on the moon?”
  2. Deadline for entries is 11:59 pm CST on the day of the post. We’ll pick a winner from the list of comments sometime on the following Friday.
  3. We’ll contact the winner by e-mail to find out where to send the free prize.

Too cool! As for vacationing on the moon…. my son totally believes we will! He is in junior high, loves flight and space and plans on going into the Air Force. His dad is one of those ’skeptics’ who doesn’t believe man ever landed on the moon, so the debates around here get very interesting!
So, for my son, I am answering ‘yes’…. and he will probably be one of the ones enjoying those vacations!

It would be incredible to vacation on the moon!! I think one day people will be able to travel into space, and eventually even be able to vacation on the moon, and when my chance comes, I’ll be ready for it!

Would the vacation on the moon just be for newlyweds–a honeymoon? Or will lifetimers like hubby and me (40 years and more in love than ever) be allowed to go? Vacationing on the moon is entirely possible– only a little over 100 years ago skeptics thought the automobile was just a rich man’s toy and would never be available to the common man. Well no one can be more common than me and my man and we own 4 vehicles–none of them new but all are useful. Maybe someday we will own a used moon rover! Bring on the future– we are ready for it!!!

OF COURSE we will! This country was built on people who dreamed big dreams like that and worked hard to realize them. People who were born 100 years ago can’t believe all the things we have accomplished in the last century. Anyway, why stop at the moon? Why not vacation on Mars? I always wanted to meet Marvin the Martian!

Oh, I have no doubt the ability to vacation on the moon will be in our future–so many visionaries focusing on it! I, however, will NOT be…say hello to serious claustrophobia :D Give me wide open spaces anyday!!

Honestly, no, I don’t think vacationing on the moon will be an option. However, I suppose you can say those who are filthy rich and able to pay their way are going on their dream vacation.

“Do you think we’ll someday be able to vacation on the moon?”

Of course, and I’ll give everyone a free stay at my moon hotel. It’ll be a blast, launching the fun into stratospheric new heights!

If by “we” you mean the human race, then, yes, certainly we will be able to vacation on the moon. However, if by “we” you mean we, the readers, personally, I would have to say probably not… NASA’s not even planning to go back to the moon until 2020 (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4261522.stm). Private companies are still working on this goal though (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19483791/) and may have it down well before NASA. But the price will undoubtedly be more than the average person can afford. :-(
