I recently escaped adulthood (mom of THREE teenagers) by buying one of those cutesy purse dog carrier things for my Yorkie. I know; almost too childlike. Hey, you asked!
Comment by Linda c on 7/24/2007 @ 5:37 pm
Do you remember when you wre a kid and you used to make “tents” out of sheets tied to chairs and all the other tall things in the room! WEll the other day my boys wanted “mommy time” so we made a tent in the playroom with a foam couch floor lots of blankets and pillows, and we staid in it reading for hours! It was so much fun to escape the “responsibility” of being a stay at home and just ahving fun with my little guys, 2 and 5! What a great thing to think about most days it is FUN to be a stay at home working mom!!!

The other day my hubby and I got a sitter and took his motorcycle to meet some friends for dinner. We had a nice dinner on an outside patio and decided it was too early to head home so we headed to a local carnival type place where we raced horses, rode a carousel, and ate frozen banana’s. I love it when hubby and I can just let it go and have fun by ourselves not as parents. Please sign me up for a tea relaxation package!!! What a great give-a-way.

Sunday afternoon at our friends’ 40th birthday party, me, my husband, my 3-year old and our friend’s daughter enjoyed their huge air-filled water slide to cool off. You know, those “very tall” things with water shooting from everywhere that are like $400 at Wal-mart? My friends were all worried it was too dirty for us to use. (Hardly–they have a bit of adultitis by the way) It was a blast. My husband had to borrow trunks even. The rest of the adults sat inside out of the sun. Great memory for us as a family.

I escaped adulthood last week when I put on a really horrid halloween mask and stood outside the bathroom door and scared one of my kids silly, he was shaking for 1/2 an hour! He loved it, don’t worry! I love a good scare like that, too!

As the mom of a two-year-old, I frequently escape from adulthood. Our fav is when I sit on the couch with her and about 10 of her doll. We pretend that we are on a boat with our babies. Sometimes she has to jump over board and swim to get something we forgot…like bottles. Fun!!

I escaped adulthood recently by joining a summer reading program. I spent 6 weeks with my nose in one fiction book or another … and my house looks like it! But it was fun!

Well, I try to do this everyday, if possible! A couple days ago, I got rained on when I went out to get the mail. SO….I brought the mail in, got hubby, and we played outside in the puddles. We sat on the driveway feeling the cool rain on our skin talking and laughing. What a great memory!

I slid down a slide with my 14 month old twin girls in my arms a couple weeks ago!

I played Twister and Candyland with the girls. Then we went outside and jumped rope. Thanks for the contest.
