Let’s face it…kids like to tease their moms. It doesn’t matter if the “kid” is forty-five years old, the parent-child relationship welcomes some razzing and joking. Sometimes it’s how we show affection. When Jason and I were newly dating Jason nicknamed my mom the “curler lady” because she would often have curlers in her hair when he came over. To this day it’s still a playful joke between them.

Kids razz their moms for their choices in hairstyles, clothing, and even driving habits. I’m sure it has something to do with the 20-40 year generational gap. Thank goodness Moms (in general) have an amazing ability to not take themselves too seriously. How can they with their kids around? Another example of how kids help us Escape Adulthood.

I found this fun video that proves that kids like to tease their moms.

Moms put up with a lot!

We owe them- big time!

Last year I announced that my mom was “The Best Mom Ever.” Well, this year we are actually having a real contest on The Lemonade Stand. If you think your mom is the bestest mom ever, you could win a gift certificate for you AND your Mom! Win-win! Check it all out here.

And next time you see your mom give her a hug and tell her you love her. Afterall, she has to put up with you!

Loved the blog! I have always felt this was one way they say they love you. Loved the video. Maggie is in bed now, so I’ll have to show it to her tomorrow.
