That’s sweet. The same applies to marriage. When my husband and I told my grandpa that we were getting married he offered us this advice. “Always kiss each other at least 3 times a day”. He was 98 years old and in a nursing home at the time. He died before our wedding but I will always remember this. We will be celebrating 7 years in June.

Kim,
Congrats on the seven year mark! My Kim and I will be celebrating our seventh anniversary in May!
Sounds like your Grandpa was a pretty wise man…

Every night when we put our daughters to bed we ask them, “when is Mommy (or Daddy) going to stop loving you?” They respond, “Never!” We reassure, “Never Never Never!”
I often add, “even when you drive me crazy, or do stuff I don’t like — I’m always going to love you.”
I think knowing your parents will love you no matter what — is the biggest gift you can get.

Eliz, How great is it that your kids have you for a mom! What a wonderful little tradition…you make me so proud to know you.
